Álvaro Márquez is a designer of user experience, product strategy and digital innovation — dedicated to the development of multimodal UX.
︎︎︎ Biography:
Formally trained in Fine Arts in Madrid in 2001, Álvaro completed his Masters in Digital Design at the Istituto Europeo di Design in 2004. Furthermore, he pursued studies of Sound Design and Audio Engineering at Goldsmiths University of London in 2018, and most recently on Artificial Intelligence for Data Sonification at the Polytechnic School of Engineering of Gijón in 2023.
Throughout his career, Álvaro has specialized on designing unique, multimodal interfaces for products that blend physical and digital elements and that exist beyond the screen— bringing together realtime data personalization with ambient intelligence and auditory feedback, in order to deliver exceptionally immersive and intuitive products, resulting in high customer relevance and positive business returns.
Born and raised in Madrid, Álvaro has lived in Amsterdam, Shanghai, London, Singapore, Sydney, and currently resides in Berlin with his family. He is fluent in Spanish, English, German, and speaks some Dutch and basic Mandarin.
